The National Federation of State High School Associations has released new rules regarding bat legality in 2011. Furthermore there will be new rules in 2012 that will go into effect. MLB announced during a news conference in Minnesota, that the Twins will host the 19th and 20th RBI World Series in 2011 and 2012. Target Field will host the baseball finale and Jane Sage Cowles Stadium on the campus of the University of Minnesota will host the softball finale. Preceding games of the RBI World Series, taking place Aug. 2-14, will be held at various other locations in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.

Twins RBI has announced its 2011 winter workout schedule. We will once again offer free sessions at the
Rice/Arlington Batting Cages
located at 1500 Rice St in St. Paul. There will be special days when Twins RBI Staff will provide hitting clinics, see the calendar page for select dates. For more information call the Rice/Arlington Batting cages at 651-558-2117 or Twins RBI Coordinator Frank White at 612-282-3018.

The Minnesota Twins Community Fund presents the Diamonds and Dreams Scholarship Program to support youth in their pursuit of postsecondary education. In 2011, the program will distribute up to 20 awards of $2,000 each. Awards are one-time only and are for undergraduate study only. A minimum of one award is designated for a participant in the RBI program, given there are eligible applicants. Applications must be postmarked no later than March 12, 2011. Twins RBI softball all-star team member Mariah Lenon was named the winner of the 2010 RBI World Series Breaking Barriers Essay Contest. Because of her winning essay, Lenon received a brand new laptop computer and the opportunity to meet and visit with Sharon Robinson, the daughter of the late Jackie Robinson.
